Paypal Looks At My Friends Facebok!

My friend got limited, and paypal checked his facebook by Googleing his email address..:pound:

The paypal employee told him that they checked his facebook and his, "age" seems incorrect..

Warning to all y'all, paypal can resort to any means to check your information, looks like there creeping on everyone's wall and be careful on who you add as your friend.

That is hilarious. But you hear of employers checking peoples facebook and myspace pages all the time. Personally I would never post any info on a social networking site.

That doesn't seem very time efficient.

Paypal was sympathetic to my friend and they let him withdraw all his money to his bank account. He had about $1000 on there, but it was initially his fault since he changed the name on the account triggering a limitation.

Personal Information

I have always been amazed at the amount of personal information people post on the net - especially the social networking sites. I have seen people reveal their age, employers, spouse's name, kids names, etc.

Then they act amazed when someone finds it and uses it in a way that is not beneficial to them.

I would never have a Facebook/MySpace/ClassMates account. Too much downside.

Seriously. Not like they are so overstaffed in the help department they have time to search for you on facebook..... And if you don't have facebook you don't exist?

No wonder it takes forever to get a reasonable reply....

Update: Paypal agreed to open his account but they want him to wait three months...
