how much is a 2gb data plan worth?
like do you think its enough to use the same 2gb for iphone stuff..like email checking..web browsing a bit..youtubing..and some other small items..and also use the tehtering for laptop to check email, possibly do listings or edit listings..and do paypal transactions??

2GB data plan? I didn't know they had a plan that small.

If you don't abuse it, then yeah I guess it may be enough.. but a few hours on YouTube and you can eat up a lot of that data quickly.

Maybe you should look into jail-breaking your iPhone, and using the PDA app for tethering.

yeah. AT&T highest plan is freaking 2gb! so if i end up tethering my iphone with 2gb...would it work out well?if im just doing minor things like in my previous post. i wish AT&t had unlimited data plan again :(

I have an AT&T unlimited data plan for my iPhone (3gs).
It's $30 a month.

they don't have that available anymore...its not an option when i signed up for my iphone 4..
they stopped having unlimited because of it flooded the system alot and stuff..i think..

Jailbreak + PdaNet might be your best bet.

yes i guess..saves me $20 a month extra. haha but umm with PdaNet does that use my share of the 2gb data plan a month?

Yes Pdanet would use your 2gb.. All it is, is a program to tether your iPhone to your computer. It doesn't save you data usage.

Really? They start at 500mb here. For like $30. 1gb $40, 2 GB $45, 5Gb, $60

Thats Just data. You need to add phone, voice mail, call display...

On my business blackberry I have a very basic plan. 200 minutes and 500 mb data - $70 a month.

Cell service rates in Canada suck balls.

i really hope AT&T gets their act together so i can get their unlimited data plan o.O

Wow.. I have the unlimited plan from a couple years ago.. that limit is ridiculous.

Its insane. I went through all the companies just yesterday. I wanted to add some data to one of my blackberry's to tether. And the absolute cheapest setup I could find for just 1gb of data and phone was over $90.

I had to pay, and get this, an extra $7 for voice mail, not included. OR $10 for voice mail and call display, also not included. Sad. One company was $60 for everything with a whopping 500 mb data. I went with that just to test how much data I would go thru on light use.

And we don't have unlimited on smart-phones.
