| cherrqell | 08-13-2010 11:52 PM | Mucho Software..... With all the inexpensive software available on ebay such as Windows, Adobe, Mac etc.....
is there any solid way to verify its authenticity. Can you actually call the manufacturer with the s/n and ask if the disk is original, or ****.
When you do purchase an item, say Windows 7, and it is *****, how do you install it without the authentic key?
There just seems to be a real lot of cheap software available. What gives? |
| jeffweico | 08-14-2010 12:18 AM | I don't sell software, but I DID buy a copy of Windows 7 that turned out to be a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ (I was trying to save a few bucks, so sue me!).
It looks real and registers just fine. The "key" that comes with it works.
The problem is that when it updates, your desktop turns black and says "Windows is Not Genuine - You May Be a Victim of Software Counterfeiting - Click Here".
It will then nag you to death to purchase a genuine copy of Windows. Your system still works, but you will get this message each time you re-boot. |
