how to totally reformat and install new operating system

hi guys,
i want to completely format my current operating system and install the same one again, for some reason i installed a new operating system and didn't download anything but i'm having problems with virus/trojans, so i want to do a complete format and reinstall. i've never done this before, so any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Boot into the DOS section and get the command window "C" prompt.
Then type c:\ format c:
Or type c:\ format /u

Before you do so, You will need to makesure your system bios is set to boot from your CD drive.

Once formated, Install CD in drive and reboot computer.

Goodluck...

Make sure your OS is a full edition and not a upgrade.
And that you have the KEY numbers for it.
