MC0031 - Auctiva - email scams
 

Hello everyone!

Just though I should give everyone here at aspkins a heads up. Today I've got an email, Here is what it looked like.

From: Auctiva <auctiva@messages.com>
Subject: MC0031 - update your auctiva account

When I clicked on the link it took me to this page/link:
It looked like the Auctiva web site, something just told me to check out the link to make sure it was Auctiva. Good thing I have because it sure was not from Auctiva.

This is a scam, Hope no one has to go threw anything like this.

Thanks for the heads up! And usually, if any REAL company that you deal with wanted you to update your information, they would not put a 24 hour time limit on it. Not everyone checks their email every day. Most of us on the forum do, but we are not your average users.

Follow the basic rules about phishing scams. Thanks for the warning about the latest, it won't be the last.
