Cell Phones

Hi all,

I'm in the market of buying a new cell phone for myself to use personally.... I use tracfones, etc for my biz. I've never really needed a cell for personal use but I do have the need now and have begun a little research.

I'd like the best phone for web browsing, phone games, wide screen, large keypad for web use, etc.

The service I'm going to use is Metro PCS. (Do I have to use one of their phones from their site?) They do have a Blackberry Curve 8530 Smart Phone on sale this month for $199

Or can I buy any phone I want and have them activate their service on it.

You can buy any unlocked phone you want and use their service on it, or you can get a phone tied to another service and you'll have to unlock it before you can use another service. The BlackBerry is a good choice though, I have the Torch and it's the best yet. You get the benefit of the qwerty keypad that slides nicely away under the full screen, so you have the best of both.
