Better stop selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ now. FBI devoting all their time to it now
Too all of you selling those ⊗⊗⊗⊗ china boxsets on ebay you better stop now. FBI said they are cracking down and they already took down my friend website and charged him..
Having said that, I typed this domain name into Google and came up with over FIVE MILLION references. There were posts all over the internet regarding the legitimacy of their products, which were priced VERY CHEAP. Given the little that I saw, your friend must have been moving THOUSANDS of bootleg DVD box sets.
Why did he choose his domain name? Was the domain name BuyCounterfeitDVDs.com not available?
Why is it that hundreds of Chinese people (and a purposely shady looking black dude selling Rolex for $50) can get away with it here in NYC, in person, on the street, almost daily......but they go after people on the internet?
Every once in a while they have a token bust in Chinatown and they all shut down til they are sure the cops are gone.
I swear, it's almost like they ignore it because the tourists like it. ....or maybe NYPD is too busy busting innocent women for not having locally bought pepper spray. (Gotta have priorities, right?)
Well if you are running a website selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ dvds then you are going to get busted. You might as well send some to the FBI with your info if you plan on being that bold in selling them.
And when I was there they sold ⊗⊗⊗⊗ rolexes right out in the open in times square, this 1 guy had about 30 of em laid out on a table just down the street from Macy's.
I see websites come and go all the time who sell bootlegs.
The studios have staff that literally cruise the internet all day long looking for any and all infringements. Some sites I download movies from have the links tagged and removed in less then an hour
They are serious. I would think selling drugs would be less greif then bootlegs.
There are hoods here that have nothing but knockoffs. Even some full time stores have them, they just do almost nothing about it here. We would have to shut down Chinatown basically (plus the street fairs and a few other places) if they ever decided to enforce it. I wonder if the city just lets it go because we cannot afford to support Chinatown. hmmmm

definitely is lol. But its vice versa, more street and every day life worry, no internet worry. Can only go so stealth but sooner or later your face is seen lol
i really think it is partially for tourism....everyone knows what is being sold on canal st.

Putting up a website like that is problem UNLESS you have hosting in other countries without or that will ignore copyright laws....that is the only way to really do it. Then they can't do anything to you (99% of the time). There is more to do beyond just a DEDI SERVER of course...but my point is made.
