No. Those are pictures I found on Google. They are actually 2 different cats.
I chose the one for my Avatar, because it was love at first sight! That cat just looks like a very loving and cool cat.
I love animals, especially cats. I have 3, all adopted from shelters. All as adult cats with problems. But they are all doing really, really well with me. There is no such thing as a bad cat, all they need is lots of love.
My Cheena... A lovely girl who was, unfortunately, abused by her first owner. The person at the shelter told me that I probably didn't want her because she gets nervous and bites people. When I adopted her, she was less than 48 hours away from being killed. Her first week in my house, she hid under the dresser. A year later, she no longer bites people, she has learned that not all humans are bad. When the doorbell rings, she runs into the living room to see who it is. She is the most loving and sweet little girl and just loves to play with the kids.
In the US, more than a million of these sweet, loving creatures are killed every year because they have nobody to care for them. I know so many people who want a pet for their kids, so they go out and spend hundreds of dollars to buy one from people who breed animals for profit. Why? Because we have a tendency to believe that if we didn't spend a lot of money on something, it must not be any good - second class and damaged.
But there is NO SUCH THING as a second class living being! People on this forum know that I never try to pitch anything, but PLEASE, if you are going to get an animal as a pet, won't you at least CONSIDER adoption? It will cost a lot less and you will be saving a life. Everybody wins!
Sorry for the sales pitch, but this issue just breaks my heart!
