Coolest Gadget Ever! NBox
 

I found this thing on an overseas website and decided to search for it in the US, because it sounded REALLY COOL! It is called an NBox. It can be found through Google, eBay, Amazon, etc.

It connects to your TV (or projector) and plays AVI (and a bunch of other formats) files directly from a USB drive, or a portable hard drive. No need to burn DVD's.

And the top-of-the-line model costs $59...

Pair this with a 2TB external HD ($99 if you look for it hard enough) and you end up with a little box that stores 2,000+ movies (or whatever) that you can just click on to watch. It's kinda like having a mini-Netflix in your house.

NO, I DON'T OWN THE COMPANY, and I don't get commissions if anyone buys it. It is made by a little company in China, and this thing REALLY ROCKS!

Sure, you could accomplish the same thing with a PC, but this eliminates the need for the expensive PC. It is not brand new technology, but for the price, it is very cool. I've had mine for about a week, and I love this thing. I already had a 500GB drive sitting around doing nothing, so this was a no-brainer. I have it hooked up to my projector (720p) and a 5.1 channel sound system, and the quality is excellent. This goes up to 1080p for true HD, but my projector isn't quite there.

yea i just looked it up $59.99 at amazon. its full 1080p out though HDMI out!

It supports many vid formats and accepts external hard drives. What i like about this is that it keep me from having to use an Avi to dvd converter and burning a dvd to watch a movie i Dl from a torrent.

Just put ur Torrents on a usb external Hd and plug it into the Nbox and you can watch on ur TV with a HDMI connection. Just be aware that you have to DL Bluray torrents to get HD quality because u will only get the quality of the vid, and you have to have a 1080P tv.
