Advice needed for best gift cards in US
 

HI there - I'm going on a trip to the US in July and was thinking that I would use my paypal funds to buy some visa gift cards or AMEX gift cards as my spending money there??
Any advice on these??
Do they work well - accepted most places?
I have read some negative things on all these cards not working at some stage so don't want to be caught out with buying a card that won't work or I can't use. ( but I guess there are negative experiences for everything right?)
Walmart sell AMEX and can pay with paypal...or alternatively maybe a could by a store gift card and then buy a credit gift card when I get there??
Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing??
Will I have a problem with the credit gift cards not working or not being accepted??

If you are just visiting, and want a gift card to do shopping while in the USA, just go to any store, as in Walmart, Kmart, Walgreens, Target,etc and purchase a prepaid card, load money onto it, and it should work at any store you go into. I've never had probs with any prepaid debit cards while shopping.
