Turn Your Computer Into a Wireless Router

I happened to check my email just now, and found software that I totally forgot about. It Is called "RouterSoft". Some of you may have heard of it, but I'm sure not everyone has.

RouterSoft allows you to turn your laptop into a wireless router. You can use it to give other computers an internet connection wirelessly the EASY WAY. You can even use your cell phones internet connection, and everything is Encrypted. Works on Windows XP, and above. I am not sure If this means you get a new IP Address, and MAC Address. I am waiting on a response as we speak. It also allows you to share movies, music, word documents, etc to any other pc wirelessly without the need of cables. This definitely replaces your Router.

Decent find

I just received an email back from RouterSoft. Once you start using RouterSoft to share your network, the new wireless network will have a new set of ip addresses, so this does give you dynamic ip addresses that you have never had before.

But I don't understand...so RouterSoft has it's own IP set for use?

I'm guessing so, the guys at RouterSoft told me once you turn your laptop into a wireless router you get a new set of ip addresses for each computer that you've never had before.

As long as it's true I'm going to give this a test, I'm not going to hurt my brain trying to figure out how this is possible lol.

This isnt exactly a new thing. Software that broadcasts host wifi signals using an adapter card as a host has existed for quite some time now. Windows 7 actually have this feature integrated into the system since the launch day.

If it isn't BiN4RY with his tech skills coming to destroy my fame, and beginner skills.

Hmmm, never noticed the Windows 7 feature, will have to look into it, what is it called?

Ok, but I want more information on this multiple dynamic IP situation...

Like what? Just let me know, and I'll find out for you, or you can simply contact them via their website. My guess is that every time you disconnect, and reconnect you get a new ip address. There's no telling how many you get before the cycle repeats itself.
