why has my printer suddenly stopped printing

it switches on and even printed a test page once, lights are all ok on it, and I unplugged cables and replugged, and kicked it too, as Im trying to print off a ticket that I need urgently, so it wont print anything else, I uninstalled driver and installed another from online resource as I could not find original disc. still nothing.

if I do a system restore will that do something positive, not sure about thiat..

any tips?

Depending what it is it has probably reached the end of its 'designated' life.

If you type the make and model into Ebay you will probably find someone who has a new chip for it.

its well old but it is not used alot at all. I seem to remember a few years back, this happened and I did the download driver thing and it was ok, but yes I might need another one....think maybe been kicked with silver stiletto may have finished it off anyway....

I have heard that kicking with silver stiletto is NOT a recommended maintenance proceedure, but I guess it depends which model. Doesn't work on husbands
