wifi radiation

so, I dont have wifi, I got wired broadband and several dongles. the dongles are slow.

so I worry about wifi in house for my kids health. what do you guys think?

and is it good idea to switch router off at night?, do you know if it emitts stuff even when computers are off.?

rsot 06-07-2011 01:25 PM

These wifi emissions are so emr low compared to having a cellphone directly at your head that I would not worry.

In terms of clinical research to prove yes or no, I cannot find much that is viable. Personally, I don't feel concerned about it. The way I see things is that there is always some broadband waves passing in the air.

The radiowaves itself is practically harmless, Its EMR as rsot have said

The radiation being broadcast to us by satellites dwarfs any radiation from cell phones or wifi, or anything else like that, and yes, even though the satellite isn't up against your head. All electronics give off some kind of radiation, as do most things anyway.

There are other kinds of things, such as subatomic particles which flow through your body every second, and there is nothing you can do about it.

wifi won't give you cancer, but gluten and splenda will.

ShadyOne 06-07-2011 02:51 PM

^ I like the way you ended that. Smooth.

I don't know enough about wifi cancer possiblities but little tin foil hats would be cool.

stillselling 06-07-2011 02:55 PM

The electrons in the tin foil could be excited to give off em radiation.

ShadyOne 06-07-2011 03:02 PM

^ Oh, so I wasted all my time and money on this tinfoil suit?

I actually meant this is tin foil stuff.

rsot 06-07-2011 03:04 PM

Even splenda takes obscene amounts in animals - but yeah, not much longterm data on that for us humans...except the few of you whom we all know are not from this world.

Red X 06-07-2011 03:11 PM

I'd be more worried about cell phone radiation than wifi, try it out you won't be disappointed, nothing will happen.

Markk 06-07-2011 05:27 PM

I think it's a good idea turning it off. You never know.

I'd be more concerned about non-organic pasteurized milk

missinglink 06-10-2011 03:24 PM

ok guyz you convince me, but if my baby born with 2 heads I come back and complain here...

rsot 06-10-2011 03:36 PM

Aspkin will take care of him nicely.

Axcend 06-10-2011 03:42 PM

we are all going to die way before we have time to worry about the effects of radiation. Unless its from a nuclear bomb

2 heads are better than one.
