Advertising on Youtube?
 

Is it against the rules of either Youtube and/or Ebay for one to advertise their Ebay product on Youtube?

Its not against the rules. You can even make a youtube video and have it on your listing. Buyers love alot of pictures but they even more love videos.

yeah but it may take some time to make a video. do that if you think it give more benefits that the time it takes

We do it on ebid a lot, as it is built into the system but not sure I would be comfortable doing it on ebay, as the ebay accounts just feel too vulnerable at the best of times and when it all goes wrong and backfires on you there is no one to talk to.

I would say its a great idea as you could also get subscribers and people contacting you outside of ebay, assuming ebay is still ok with youTube videos.

I get a ton of traffic for certain products by posting a youtube video as I have over 1000 subscribers on that channel.

Many tell me they cannot wait to see what I will be listing soon so I always post a new vid a week before to keep them lurking at my ebay account for newly listed items.

I also use this account on twitter and pinetrest.

Once you get the youtube traffic built up and have a good product the followers on youtube will always come back.

If I had time I would do it on more account.

Have not embedded a video on my listings yet but will some day.

I get a ton of traffic from youtube and many send message asking when am I going to list this item, that item etc.

I do a vid with items not listed yet as a teaser to keep them interested and then hit them with an update vid of new items going to be listed.

I agree, you tube for me has proven to be a traffic generator for my ebay and even etsy items.

* I have even tossed on a vid of items I have on CL for sale. Has drew some buyers.

Since when is he a star? He sucks, cannot sing and my teens do not like him.

He is a fad, made some money and seems to be quite an idiot.

I agree....but he is classed a celebrity and youtube has in affect made him millions....cant stand him...but you have to admit that hes now a very rich boy thanks to just 1 youtube video!

Agree Sandy - not my type of music and he should not be a role model OR a star but...it did make him famous and made bank
