Default Undervolting - lower CPU temp by 10 deg. c. - better than thermal paste

OK. Undervolting lowers your CPU temperature by 10 degree c. max. and achieves much better results than thermal paste.

This means on laptops - quieter fan noise, longer lasting machine, better battery performance and a few more benifits. Use on desktop etc. for similar results.

I have done this on my lappy and have achieved 10 deg.c. less CPU temperature.

The procedure will not harm you computer in anyway and is 100% safe.

Personally, I dived in at the deep end and set the voltage to the minimum from the start and it worked out for me. I did not bother with load tests and it has been a few months now and no crashes so its all good. (I did some small quick load tests as I could not be bothered to wait ages for proper load test).

Everything is explained in the link below

Some kind fella wrote a guide - it is worth spending time to do this as it is the bees knees. UNDERVOLTING GUIDE

I bought a netbook a couple weeks ago, model A0722, got it real cheap at Target. I undervolted it a few days ago and it's a lot cooler. Suppose to get better battery life to, but didn't really notice.

Definitely recommend doing this.

Keep in mind that undervolting will also drastically reduce stability on higher clocks, resulting in lower performance as the system reduces the clock speed to a stable range.
