February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011

Died a couple hours ago specific cause of death has not been mentioned but he had a rare form of pancreatic cancer since 2004.

I remember in the early days of Apple, he said in an interview that he wanted to put a computer into every home.

Mission accomplished, Steve.

I just finished sending his whole family an email.

Still have the first apple computer one of my parents purchased brand new in box, never used. :)

No, apple will never fall, I've got 3 spyware infected windows on the floor with an alive and living macbook, gates time is coming soon.

He was on TV alot and on the news, doing his conferences

actually the main apple designer was an English guy, he is not even known about......

Never watch the news and ecspecially don't read the paper, probably why I missed him, oh well.

Yeah I've seen the I's many times, never seen the name Steve Jobs next to it though, thought it was an employment agency at first.

But yes, a true visionary - pity about the pancreatic cancer...knowing what I know about the disease, was only a matter of time.

I always wondered how he had it - it's usually related to a combo of heavy drinking + smokes - unless he had genetic predisposition - anyone know of his lifestyle? That bad?
