I once went through Customs with 4 bags, each about 30kg (66lbs), total about 120kg (264lbs) and didn't get stopped. I almost couldn't turn the cart around the corner at the Customs inspection counter, it was so heavily loaded ...I was moving to another country at the time.

I went through the same airport a few months later, with just a small handbag and was stopped and inspected. :D

Next time they search you, be very loud and say "yes, that's it ...right there ..a little to the right ...oh yeah, that feels good". But make sure that everyone around you hears it. It will make the Customs inspection officer look like a molester.

Once I was going back to Australia from a Vacation and I they fined me $150 for having wood in my bag and not notifying them about it.

any wood, food, plants, animals etc could be carrying insects, disease or other things that could have a detrimental effect on the country

it's a bit strange seizing things like a piece of wood but there are good reasons why

Thanks for fact GTB i'll make sure to remember this the next time I fly

aye you should read the declaration form thoroughly as you would be surprised on the things that are not allowed!

I always bring food in to the US, they ask me if I have food and I say nope....

I need a few crackers and things until I get my bearings of where I am and where is a good place to eat.....not like some of these people you see on border parol programs that kill things themselves and stuff em in to their bag with the fur still on or crawling with maggots fruit....these people are just undesirables and should be sent home to their medievil village......
