Next question? Is it really hard to unlock an iphone? I want to get an iphone, but the unlocked ones are expensive, but not unlocked are not so is it super hard for anybody who had this kind of experience?

Its not super hard but you definitely need to have an idea on what your doing. If your the guy who doesn't really know how to operate a computer or a phone this might be a little difficult. But other than that its just a lot of reading and following directions.

Which iphone do you have and for which carrier do you want to unlock it for?

Don't do the unlock iphones just get a regular iphone and put H2o $60 unlimited everything it's on att network so no need to unlock but when you unlock it then tmobile sucks on the iphone IMO!

You can just google how to unlock a iPhone. Plenty of information available so you can make a good decision if it is the right fit for you

The trick with unlocking an iphone is the baseband can make you lose gps and if you try to restore the iphone you will lose the unlock another alternative is the gevey sim good luck

I want to give the iphone to an outside us friend so I wondered if its super tough unlocking it? Its for another operator gsm.

It's not hard to unlock you have to jailbreak it first but like I said it's probably easier to get one that's already unlocked

Iphone is EASY to unlock, depending on the firmware you have. What EVER you do, do not purchase an iphone with the latest firmware, as they are not unlockable as of yet. Whenever apple releases a new firmware, they put a security patch on it to make it harder for users to unlock.

Look on youtube there are tons of videos showing you how to unlock. Do not purchase those useless guides on ebay, as you can easily do it by yourself searching the internet.

If your looking for a cool, and affordable touch screen phone comparable to the Iphone, purchase the Samsung Galaxy (specifically the older model). Data plans are expensive here in Canada, and I can't justify getting one. Android has tons of apps...comparable to the iphone app store.
