Question E-Commerce & integration..

Hi guys,

Right eventually the idea is going to be to get away from eBay or cut down considerably on what I sell on there and go to e-commerce have my own site etc.. however I have a few questions.

- By going e-commerce what advantage does that have because you still use Paypal who can limit you at any point?
- What other ways are there for receiving payments on a website, I know merchant accounts but how do you set one up for a website?
- SEO - Optimization will be key to making sure my website gets hits, how much would you spend on this ?

All advice is appreciated thanks

I did the same thing as my other venue to sale, because relying on am for money is pretty stressing.

Paypal wont limit you unless you sell too much or ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff. If you think, you can setup a website and sell for example only DVDs,good luck because then Paypal will do just that.

You can have Google checkout, very nice and easy to use. also you need a merchant account to accept credit cards beside Paypal.

If you have a solid company to host your ecommerce website and you have patience, you can learn SEO without spending a penny. It takes time but all is possible.

Thanks for the info but I'm none the wiser because my website will be selling loads but nothing ⊗⊗⊗⊗! So how am I going to get round this?

So the idea is to get away from PP and use a merchant account?
