I have no idea who that is and what I did to deserve $40. Can anyone here tell me who they are? But I'd be a bit worry if someone has my bank details, was that transaction meant for you!

You could try contacting your bank & ask if they could do a trace on the payment. Explain to them you do not know the party and do not wish to have any troubles.
