GTB, ghosts/spirits/poltergeists/Jinns/whatever you want to call it, do exist. I might have some scary stuff on this for you if I get time.There is a program on tv a few years back .....called 'The Worlds Scariest Ghosts Caught On Tape'. Check that out ! There a few other ones as well, like the Bell Witch.

The Bell Witch
The Bell Witch or Bell Witch Haunting is a poltergeist legend from Southern United States folklore, involving the Bell family of Adams, Tennessee.

According to the legend, the first reported manifestation of the haunting occurred in 1817 when John Bell, Sr., encountered a strange animal in a cornfield on his large farm in Robertson County, on the Red River, near Adams, Tennessee. Bell shot at the animal, described as having the body of a dog and the head of a rabbit. At a later date the Bell family claimed to hear knocking and gnawing noises on the outside walls of their house. These noises eventually moved inside the dwelling. Some time after the noises began, Betsy Bell (the family's youngest daughter) claimed to have been assaulted by an invisible force. The legend continues with the poltergeist gaining strength, moving various objects about, speaking and having conversations with the family and guests. It identified itself as "Kate Batts", a neighbor of the Bells that John had apparently upset in some way.

Bell Sr., later in life, suffered frequent facial seizures, often rendering him speechless (although Bell's Palsy is named after a different Bell). He died on December 20, 1820. A small vial containing a very powerful poison he allegedly ingested was found near his body. When some of the contents were force-fed to the family cat, the animal died. The vial was then disposed of in the fireplace.

Bell Witch historian Pat Fitzhugh states that some people[who?] believe that the spirit returned in 1935, the year when the witch claimed it would return ("one hundred years and seven" past 1828), and took up residence on the former Bell property.[citation needed] Other sources[who?] say that 1935 brought nothing out of the ordinary to the Bell descendants or the surrounding community.

Descendants of the Bell family who had moved to Yalobusha County in North Mississippi (oldest son Jesse Bell and eldest daughter Esther Bell) however have recounted incidents with a "spirit" at that time.

i have no idea if this stuff exists. nobody knows if it does or not. but i went to a psychic when i was 18. only round the corner from where i live now actually. she asked about my gf. and asked what her middle name was. i couldnt remember at the time. she said is it jayne. lol. and it was. it was so weird. she told me a lot of things that day. some came true some didnt.

another one is my mum works at a mental hospital in manchester. she does admin there.

there is a person there who works there and is allways talking to my mum about my grandma. shes not with us now. but she says she is still around and allways says very odd things about my family that nobody would know.

do i belive in this stuff. yes to a extent.

i belive that you only have 2 paths to take in everything you do in life. each path leads you down a different road. but which ever path you take. it was ment to be. everything happens for a reason, you may not see the reason at first. you may not even see it for a few years. but eventually you will see why it happened.

i could tell you a whole load of things that have happened to me in my life, and at the time. i was like WTF!!! this is buls*it. but then something happens and i am like, well if that 'bad' thing never happend i wouldnt be in this position i am in now.

but yer. everything in life happens for a reason.

That is very profound & deep.I don't want to believe it but it has an element of truth to it at some level.

I went with friend A to a fortune teller (FT). First time I'd ever been to one. The old lady looked at the palm. She told me a few things before she mentioned my mum. Told me my mum's gonna have knee problems and it happened. (Maybe coincidental)
Friend A told me before, she actually did see the the old lady on Feng Shui matters in her office and career. Without going to her office, the old lady could actually give her very specific outline of her office/fixtures and remedies.

Friend B wanted to see a FT a couple of weeks later and I gave him her address. What he told me kind of amazed me. She had an 'out-of body' experience. She 'went' to his house/room and could tell him the exact display and where some stuffs were in his room which he totally forgot. She was very specific in details of the objects. Friend B went home and found the things exactly where she said they were.

I also heard from another friend that his cousin was going to purchase a house which had been empty for more than 2 years. FT told him to forget about it because houses which have been empty for a long time usually attract and invite spirits to live in there. She said she 'saw' (while in her consultation room) one already living there. Friend A's cousin's gf said it's all BS. She didn't believe in such stuffs. They went and had a final inspection before purchasing. When she was leaving, she said she felt a strong tug at her arm and was shoved out of the front door. She was the last person in the house, the other two were already on the porch. While in the car, on the arm which she felt the tug, she saw purplish fingerprint marks on it. The couple bought a newly vacant house after the incident.

I had a very close encounter when I was still young, which still scares me. Won't talk about it but ever since then, I do believe in the 'other' world.

I would love to see a ghost. I would be scared but i would be more shocked and eager to ask him questions than to run away.

i remember waking up one night and seeing a dark figure at the bottom of my bed

blinked a few times and it was still there,just stared at it for a minute or two

then it dissipated,was quite scared tbh

Why else would tens of thousands of people from all nations around the world and all periods in human history report seeing them under more or less similar circumstances?

And these days theres more ways to actually prove it, due to video sourcing, instruments used in houses :spy:

I have older relatives who've claimed they've seen spirits aswell.

Story #1 of #too many

I'm Mexican, we have no choice but to see ghost and other weird stuff. When I was 15 or 16 I was visiting my family in Mexico, I was staying in the same room with a cousin. Around 2 am I heard a voice. I thought it was my cousin but he was sorta still sleeping. I opened my eyes and looked toward the voice and I saw a face on the wall. I was sorta in shock and managed to wake my cousin and pointed to the face, we both pretty much were freaked out.

We told our family of the young man's face, Grandma was teary and said that was an uncle who had killed himself accidentally with grandpas gun.

I do have one real story (friend's wife) but the bunch of us secretly think that she is mental.

Friend: D
Friend's Wife: M
3 other guys involved: J, A, F

1st night:
3 years ago, when D and M were having dinner, M suddenly just fainted. When she woke up, she just appeared 'stoned/glazed'. The moment she talked, she spoke in a man's voice. J, A, F arrived during that time because they had arranged to watch soccer at D's house.
When M saw them, she went nuts. She was screaming for them to get out (in man's voice) and tried to attack them. According to them, she's strong like a man. (M is abt 1.53m, 5 ft 1, and around 45kg, 100lbs ) They were trying to restrain her when she suddenly fainted again. They tied her up. M woke up 30 mins later and started cussing in English and his native language.
The 4 big men tried talking to the 'man' in M.
According to the 'man', his name was Veeru (sp?), he came from India to work as a construction worker. He got drunk one night, climbed up to the 8th floor at the worksite and fell. M always took the route where he died to and from the train station. He liked her and wanted to take M along with him.

2nd day:
J brought along a Priest. Nothing could be done since they do not believe. (Religion stuffs, so not going to say anything) F brought along his pastor but no help either.
2nd night:
A found a temple priest who was willing to help. Altar set up and rituals done.
According to J and F, they heard the priest bargaining with Veeru. They would give him this and that so that he would leave the woman alone.
M went back to normal, didn't remember anything about the incident.

6th night:
Veeru came back with a vengeance. D came home at the moment when M was trying to stab herself with a kitchen knife. Dunno how but D managed to restrain her and he called over J,A,F again. This time, F brought a Hindu priest. Went on for 3 or 4 hours before the priest came out and told them he would need to do a ritual for 2 days.

7th-8th day:
Ritual went on. At the end of it M came back, as usual, didn't remember anything.

Almost a week passed by quietly but Veeru came back again. M ended up being tied down to the chair. That night, around 1am, A said something in his head told him to drive a different route. He stopped at a Tibetian temple and a monk greeted him. Monk said would help M.
The gang went over with the monk the next day. The monk chanted sutra for hours with M screaming and cussing. When the chants stopped, M quietened. The monk gave M a beaded bracelet to wear.

Veeru never came back after that. But M, she's different. She had the 'glazed' look, she would start talking/smiling to herself. She's slow and forgetful. She couldn't keep her job because she couldn't keep up with anything. She still wears the same bracelet given to her by the monk.

To tell the truth, all of us never really liked M. She's a liar, lied about anything she could. Siblings she never had, boyfriends she never had, schools she never graduated from, jobs she never had etc.
J,A,F were spooked out by all that happened because they were participants in the incident. After sometime, when we talked about it, J,F said at that time, they really thought M was possessed, especially with 'her' strength and foreign languages. But after awhile, they just thought that she has multi-personalities. Same as she lied about having 5 different guys wanting her to marry them. This Veeru was one of the guys she made up. Her brain was going bad and was telling her to release it once and for all.
As for A, he said he would rather believe than not.

For me, I wasn't around at that time, so I don't really know. But no matter how much I want to give her a benefit of doubt, I am more inclined to her being mental.

I love these stuffs, They are super interesting but at the same time I'm afraid. When I went back home for vacation, my friends brought me to places where rituals were performed and possessions taking place and how to tell if ppl are faking it and real.

at relative's home because said relative was about to cross over. (87 years old).

About 01:10am, heard faucet running. (Taps for you lot across the pond).

Flurry of cold in my bedroom.

01:15AM the grandfather clock chimed once and once only.

01:30am Phone call from hospital to say relative had died at 01:15am (:amen:)

I had a friend who did so a few years ago & today she reports of doors shutting & opening by themselves in her house, hearing voices in the house when no one else is around & the feeling of a presence of 'something' in the house. She already has had a priest over but it seems of little avail at the moment.
