computer question.

I have a question. May be dumb but I am always trying to save some money. is it possible to hook up up a computer that has a dial up modem to the Ethernet part of a dsl box with a converter jack and use that port as a dial up to dial up.
or purchase a modem box that will let you do this. just trying to cut down on my phone bill. any help or links to hardware would be great. Thanks in advance.

try to bridge the dial up connection using windows to your ethernet port. I have never tried this but it should work.
