No more "trolling" allowed in Arizona

Well it seems good old Arizona is up to something again. They passed a bill that will not allow internet trolling. I wonder if it means I can troll someone from AZ or inside AZ.

I think this bill will get shot down or parts of it from the 1st Amendment, Freedom of Speech. The US is changing for the worse. I know this thread will be closed, oh well.

someone got sent down in UK for trolling

was a student and he was been racist and cold towards Fabrice Muamba (a footballer) who collapsed during a football match,i think it was a heart attack of some sort

everyone is entitled to there opinion but them ppl who go out of there way to say terrible things deserve to be punished

just because its online it dont mean you can say what you want!

Wow that's bad. I usually go trolling on my little sister and her best friend's facebook profile. Her friend even said during last year's Christmas "that she hates me but it's still funny of the things you write (me)". She hasn't blocked me so I guess it all good to a point.

I only do it to those 2 people, people that I have known for years. That football player comment is a bit harsh.

Trolls tend to live under bridges.

Eh.....i know some people who are potty mouthed over the internet, not malicious but just simply love using the F word on everything they want to emphasize.
So that's gonna be illegal? LOL, they need to get rid of of that four letters on their keyboards now.

jeffweico 04-04-2012 02:50 PM

I think their INTENT was good, but the text of the law reads:

harassing, threatening or annoying a specific (person)

If someone stalks another person online and tries to terrorize them, that is already illegal and NOT protected speech. But the law is too broad. The way it is written could be applied to almost ANYTHING.

Completely unconstitutional, IMHO.

Trolls also tend to live on Facebook?

Arizona needs to stop making crazy bills. They are influencing the rest of the states.

This is just another method to control the internet slowly but surely. Anybody that you know is harassing you then you contact proper authorities or find where they live and shut them down.
