You going to use programs like Fruity loops and Reason on it?

moneyhustler88 04-30-2012 06:42 PM

nah probs get logic to be honest

Why not a pc over a mac though?

To me, I believe that they’re a status symbol.

At best, they are mid-grade components when it comes to ram/processor, and if you need to upgrade them with Apple its ridiculously expensive.

Is it really worth it?

IMO when you go Mac - you never go back

I've used both. Mac are more expensive, programmes cost the earth but for publishing etc they are the Mutts proverbials.

I wish I still had my mac.

Macs are built for what you want to use it for. If you dont know a lot of stuff then they are great. easy to get use to but like other ppl say. Upgrading is pricey and programs are even worse.

Also a lot of the best programs arent made for macs

For Music on a Mac, Professionals use Pro-Tools.

jamcocktail21 05-01-2012 02:23 AM

I vote for PC in everything :typing:

 I just bought an I3 laptop for $329, 500gb hard drive, with 4 gb of ram. You have to look around for deals. I could have bought an i5, but it was $50 more.

moneyhustler88 05-01-2012 12:42 PM

Thats a total rip off! dual core the programs you want to use on that will barely be able to properly run..

AmazonStealth 05-02-2012 01:19 AM

Have a mac from '07, '09, and just recently bought another one. All run just as fast since day one with no issues. I bought a pc my freshman year at college as was slower than hell in a few months. Mac is the way to go.

jbluntz 05-02-2012 01:35 AM

Not only that but you can have windows on mac so you got a computer that lasts for years that also runs windows, it's a no brainer.

moneyhustler88 05-02-2012 05:40 AM

yeah am gunna get a mac man deffos :)

cortex 05-02-2012 06:28 AM

I bought a macbook pro 5 days ago after my 5th windows laptop died on me...usually when i have coursework/deadlines approaching....gotta say i wish id made the move to a mac sooner!

also if you know someone who is a student...you get 15% off....about £150-£220 depending which model you go for.

rsot 05-02-2012 09:20 AM

You can make multiple user accounts on mac...by running windows?

cortex 05-02-2012 11:17 AM

Yes,,,what i did was install VMWare and then install win7ultimate and made new user accounts within a virtual version of VMWare.

PM me for details...ill tell you how to get all of the above for for £0.00
