Cell Phone Spam - Do Not Call List
 

I received this email today .. I called the 888 number listed. This is legit.



I called the 888 number listed below, it IS, the National Do Not Call
Registry.
You must call from the number you wish to be added to their list.
Sadly, yes, you will have to press 1 to proceed in English, then listen for
their prompt,
punch in your 10 digit phone number and it will tell you that your
registered.
Worth a few seconds of your time to get rid of the tele-soliciters.

I never get random calls on my cell phone anymore; if I did I never answer a number I don't know, too many stalkers...

Good thing in Oz is that you can make your cell phone number 'private' with most carriers.
I make use of caller ID..... if they really need to speak to me, then they can leave a message for me to ignore.

Here too, plus with my carrier (telus) I can see the name and phone number of the people calling me. Pretty useful when you use your cell phone for ebay, work, friends, family...

That's right. I even have the cell phone programmed to have different ring tones for different numbers. LOL..... still I prefer to ignore most calls.
