@pod

Spot on.

Potential for harm abounds.

Doing an analysis now. Not liking the probability of repercussions. :pout:

moneyhustler88 05-10-2012 10:49 PM

i totally agree with you both!!

So I think the Transfers from PP to Bank have now been moved up to 1 day. I just transferred money from PP to my bank and it was pretty darn quick. YAY i now have my money, lol.

Keep your bank accounts in order.

This is allowing paypal to 'touch' our monies.

It may not be as sweet as it appears.

Simply because it is paypal.

That emoticon scared the hell out of me, and once I saw it the reality of the situation dawned upon me like a ton of bricks. But since I will be using my accounts legitimately and not scamming, I am not too worried.

I think even with running a solid legitimate business - dangers maybe involved with paypal - GB raises some good points.

We need to start thinking like GB - always look at the bigger picture & analyse the situation :suspicious:

Has nothing to do with that whatsoever.:smash:

There's hard financial times out there in the world especially in the UK.

paypal on a good day is problematic.

paypal with MORE POWER to touch OUR MONEY will mean grief.

To me this is good and bad news, as someone whos part earnings come from Fiverr i have to already wait 14 days for payment to clear Fiverr, then a further 3 days from PayPal to my bank. I think the fact Paypal will process it faster will be a fantastic think if your careful and know what your doing. But it could also mean a huge increase to the stealth community, because the way I see it doing 'faster payment' they are at 'faster risk' of scammers transferring funds fast and everything else..so we could see faster limitations!:violin::mad2:

New sellers still have the 21 day payment holds and i am SURE they will still have the security trips where payments get held for up to 3 days and then released, I for one get these on one of my accounts almost everytime i withdraw from my one paypal account, regardless if its £10 or £100 :smash:

Just goes to show that e/b never did care about the sellers, would you not want the people that make your business money, given their cut faster!

Probably not since they lose interest if they cant hold your money for long

GTB 05-11-2012 05:01 AM

things change all the time with pp

dont take anything for granted

just coz one person says one thing happened for them it dont mean it will happen for you

dont cause a scene...head down and get on with biz....

moneyhustler88 05-11-2012 10:38 AM

i agree with GTB paypals always changing

HDavey actually I don't agree with everyone, because earlier in the thread Suave said that this paypal is excellent and so amazing..and i said no it's not because it means paypal will be more cautious and limiting faster..so how the f do i agree with everything? LOL

yeah a valid point bunneh..definetely i forgot about the 21 day hold..suppose really for new people then it makes no difference so really in turn paypal will still earn interest off the money:pound::mod:

I did NOT say or think it was 'excellent' & 'amazing' anywhere, I effectively said this process of receiving the funds quicker in a 24 hours period or less must be a good thing. :FF:

GB raised some serious issues pertaining to this in regards to PP being in the equation & I actually agreed with this, acknowledging there are likely to be hidden caveat's to this faster funds transfer process.

You said something about fraud increasing & I told you that PP/EB are likely to have counter measures in place for that.

As this policy has yet to be rolled out, no one actually knows the full implications on this or what PP true intentions are, lest you say PP are going to be 'limiting faster'. No one actually knows any of this at the moment.

Peace.

Lol it being good and excellent practically the same thing lol and mate..blantantly when they're processing payments faster to bank..they're going to be more cautious..which means more limitations..

ooh er hmm mate,
please do read/understand what I actually wrote in this thread;
that is why I said:
---->'.... acknowledging there are likely to be hidden caveat's to this faster funds transfer process'.

The concept of receiving the funds quicker was/is a 'GOOD/EXCELLENT' idea. How this is going to play out in the real world or its implications are UNKNOWN at this stage.

No one knows whether additional limitations are going to be enforced against the current funds holding/limitations policies PP already have, which Bunneh just referred to.

All that could happen from a practical perspective is that the funds are processed & transferred via the banking & PP system faster than at present in compliance with the EU regulations BUT the current limitations/funds holds/fund release policies PP has will largely remain in place.

I know Schrib.... your new.

Elijah 05-12-2012 06:09 AM

I did a transfer on Wednesday night for my earnings for the day for one of my accounts (£100) and it hit my account yesterday. It was to a Barclays basic account and I did not pay the £5 fee. I am sure that the transfer would have only begun the next morning, so that means it took only 1 day to transfer.

SUVE 05-12-2012 07:49 AM

Yes, that would be the 'faster payments' system in force already from 2012.PP are late though, hence the date to implement this fully by the summer.

:amen:

moneyhustler88 05-12-2012 11:36 AM

so suve basically..you said yeah to what i said lol :amen:
So does it depend on your bank..to how fast the payments processed? because am with halifax and mine are saying completed on paypal within 2 days..not showing up in my bank till a further 3-4 days after

You need NOT have said anything in the first place if you had correctly read/understood what I had originally written the first time around.:faint:

I would speak to the local Halifax bank branch about the faster payments process in regards to your payment if the payment was NOT in the unaffected payment category detailed below.

The Payment Services Directive & the Payment Services Regulations 2009
What are the Payment Services Directive & the Payment Services Regulations 2009?
The Payment Services Directive is a European Union legislation which supports a Single European Payment Area (SEPA). This means that cross-border euro payments can be made as efficiently as within national borders. The legislation has been implemented in the UK by the Payment Services Regulations 2009.

What do the Payment Services Regulations 2009 mean to me?
The majority of payments you send from the 7th November 2011 will arrive by the next working day, where as previously, payments often took up to 4 days.

Some payments will remain unaffected. These include those executed wholly in cash, cheques & other paper based transactions such as banker’s drafts.

moneyhustler88 05-12-2012 02:10 PM

yeah it says the 'majority' probably that excludes Halifax..knowing paypal fml lol and safe suve lol haha:dance:
