| jeffweico | 08-03-2012 05:06 PM | Many years ago, I worked with someone who smelled - really, REALLY bad. He was a nice guy and nobody wanted to say anything, but it got worse and worse over time.
This was not your normal annoying but light BO smell, it was like rotting flesh covered with Pierre Cardin and that had been festering in a dirty dumpster for a few months.
I don't think he showered. I'm not talking about skipping a day or two, this was more like not showering for at least a month. Then putting on some cologne to try to cover the smell.
The thing that got me was he had a wife and she smelled perfectly normal. I don't know how she could stand to live with him in the same apartment, much less have (and I feel the vomit rising in my throat as I type this) sex with him.
Having to go into a small office with him for a meeting was like NASAL RAPE! Staying in the same room with him for more than 5 minutes made people think suicidal thoughts. I gave thanks to God that I did not have to deal with him on a regular basis.
And it was a shame, because like I said, he was a nice guy, good looking even. But he could have made a skunk dive into a wood-chipper with no regrets.
Eventually, he quit. After he left, they had to remove the furniture and carpeting from his office and get rid of it. They totally repainted and re-carpted the office and put in all new furniture. And I'll be damned if I STILL didn't catch a whiff of him whenever I passed by. |
