Why is McDonald's full of people everyday?
 

I don't get it why is it more full of people then alot of other places? Everyday I see tons of people there, but for example arbys isnt that full. Is it because its just famous and cheap or whoever eats mcdonalds here give me your intake so I understand?

Mcdonalds, like many other fast food joints, has become a hub for cheap and fast food.

In the time of recession and depression, most people are turning to cheaper alternatives for a meal. And unfortunately, you can get a whole meal and STILL be cheaper than a bushel of broccoli.

But, We also live in a time of instant gratification. People want it now, they want to move fast and they dont want to put any more time then needed in doing things. Such as cooking...

As far as arbys goes, I just think that they are not big enough to give competition with their prices and advertisements.

Another thing is, mcdonalds works on bribery.....My 2 year old knows what the golden arches are (even though we dont eat fast food) she knows that they give toys in their meal boxes. Naturally, she wants it.
You have that instilled in today's generation as well. So they grow up learning this stuff and keep coming back :/

Ha, Arby's prices are insane for fast food and every one I have ever been to takes 20 minutes to get a godd*mn meal. I don't see how that place survives sometimes. Not to mention, their dollar menu is absolutely pathetic. Mac D's can make you feel full for $3 while Arby's sandwiches are literally 2 pieces of bread and one little super thin SLICE of some frozen piece of crap ham.

I too don't understand why McDonald is so popular. Don't they know what they put into that junk. People just love to stay fat.

I saw a article last year in where a double cheese burger from McDonald stayed outside a frig for 2-4 (forgot the length of time) weeks and the bread did not get moldy. The bread I buy at the grocery starts to get moldy at the 2 week birthday.

I don't know what they put into their bread and wow, nasty. But I will admit, I love their fries. I buy their fires 1-2 times a month and no more.

If I want a fast meal, I'll head over to Subway or a grocery store and get a cold foot long subway sandwich.

because their food's high in Glyercol, that makes it addictive. Plus the brand's reputation is 'cool' and espically with summer people want to go there. Believe me though, if you ever worked at mcdonalds you'd never want to eat there (take it from someone who was a store manager for one me lol years ago)

Cheap - fast - filling - sums it all. Taste is nice for people who like it but...eww

actually yotano the McDonalds BigMac with Fries was left out in room temperature for 6 Months and it did not mold. It became very Plastic in nature.

People eat McDonalds for convenience as they do not have time for a full cooked meal at home and are limited in their budget for better food sources.

all i know is a mcdonalds by my school had a security guard who acted like the gestapo

Ask yourself why the U.S has the highest cancer rate. B/c they love fast food! That should also answer your question to why there are so many people there.

I only eat that stuff sometimes to help me gain weight. Thats about it.

While I can blame cancer only on fast food, I will agree that it certainly cant the colon.

yeah, i think the same thing too...it's funny...we were also saying the lother day..how is arby's still in business? maybe its the kids who want the ahppy meals so the parents are forced to go there..like i am sometime...lol..and also they have more play places which are fun for the kiddies...but I personally like subway or bk better

All I know is this...whether you go to Mc D's or ANY other fast food, ALWAYS put your car in park to check your meal. It almost never fails..you get home and they forgot the fries, sauces or gave you a diet coke instead of a regular. So make sure you check everything before you leave!
I guess fast food is just TOO fast nowadays! And along with that, the work ethics and pride in earning a dollar and wanting to do a good job are days of the past too.

Took the Grandkids to Macdonalds once and ate one of their cheeseburgers with chips - only the once though - but then I'm old fashioned - I like food - if Macdonalds served food instead of what they do I would go back

I used to be an assistant manager at Wendy's, the Morale of the employees is usually low and it's more like the employees just want a check not about doing a good job.

The franchise I worked for had 36 stores making over a million dollars in sales, the last year I was there they made less than a million in profit for all 36 stores. There is no money in fast food but lots of demand.

no $ in fast food? lol. yes they do it out of the goodness of their hearts!

Revenue all depends on the franchise. Of course, McDonald's slaughters everyone. Wendy's only does well when it's in a convenient location. Other than that, I don't know anyone who goes out of their way to get Wendy's. That company has been the exact same since I was a little kid. All they have done is change their salt on their fries to sea salt...not exactly a game changer.

/petition a sandwich to be named the McYotano - could be some kind of a fish

It is ALL 100% Marketing, there is NOTHING Good or Wholesome that can be found in the food of ANY major Fastfood chain, their food as Noted above is LOADED with artificial Additives that Presevere them, make them "Tasty" (Addictive), Fillers to Lower Costs, and MUCH more, all this adds up to food that is NO WAY near as good for you as say a Peice of grilled Chicken or Salmon,,,But the Kids LOVE Ronald Mcdonald and the Little Kiddie "Parks" inside a Lot of Mcdonalds, thown if some free wi-fi and a LOT of Moms Take their Kids there to play, while the Surf the web or work, there is a LOT of Science that goes into marketing,,

Here is another "Nugget",,,Ever wonder why McDonalds calls its Hamburger a "Patty" as opposed to Hamburger??

It is because by FDA (Goverment) Defination it doen NOT Qualify to be called a Hamburger, so they call it a Patty,,,Look it up you'll see,,,

slapped we agree :) fast food is the devil. yes it can provide affordable food for the not so rich however in this day and age i am sure we can come up with other ways. watch food inc. and then say you want to eat fast food. the idea of filler is absolutely disgusting. they mix your meat with ammonia to kill bacteria! cows are not supposed to be fed corn and that is where ecoli can come from. it is ALL marketing as slapped said

Everybody body knows that you can make a better and healthier sandwich at home.

You guys are missing the point. People want tasty food, and they want it QUICK and CHEAP.

Everyone SAYS they care about eating healthy, but ask any McDonald's manager what sells - I guarantee you the salads are NOT at the top of the list. Big Macs, quarter pounders, double quarter pounders, double cheeseburgers, triple cheeseburgers and french fries by the truckload fly out the door.

Everyone bashes McDonalds, but the fact is they are the most successful fast food restauartant ever. They are CONSISTENT, they are CLEAN and they are CHEAP.

They simply give people what they want.

Your words make me remember of the heart attack grill where the chef there stopped being a dietitian and gave people what they want, tasty food at whatever cost!

Their carbonated COKE is the best on the menu!
