It will be difficult to enforce any favorable decision to wiley & it would no doubt be heavily challenged on all fronts to reverse any such decision in the long run.

It would face mass opposition.

It's crazy how International Edition of books are like 40-50% cheaper than Domestic Editions but they force teachers to use newer and newer Editions to milk us the Students for everything we have...which isn't a lot.

One of my Teachers said, "We ain't using a book, why? Because they aren't paying a dime to use it so were not gonna use".

Most of my professor's at University used to tell us "you do not need the textbooks as most of the stuff will be in powerpoints." or "We will be using free articles, journal entries to study from." My favourite was that previous text book versions were acceptable.

This could be much bigger then books, hope you guys see the big picture here within that article.

guys, ANYTHING can happen in this world. i wish certain things didn't happen because they were too insane but that is the world we live in. without putting up a fight there will be no way of holding things like this back however it seems that most have lost their fight, they just dont care

People have no care till it effects them, this is bigger then most will believe and if corps figure out they can get away with it everyone will feel the pain.

The big Corporations ARE getting away with stuff now.

Hmmm, 90% of the materials used to build my home came from overseas.....

Its a big mess to sort through if they rule in favor.

What are YOU going to do about selling online?

Corporations have been railing against the First sale Doctrine since the inception of the internet, they have always maintained that the allowing the current practice to continue in the Modern age would be EXTREMELY determental.

It is kind of the same argument that the MPAA Industry makes against torrent sites, yet year after year these same companies who are doing all this crying, consistantly report Record Profits, it makes you wonder just where will corporate greed end?
