Jalonta Freeman of Arlington, Texas was approached by a stranger at a gas station, selling what he claimed to be a brand new $800 iPad, for just $200. Freeman and her family did not want to miss out on an offer they thought seemed great, so they gave him cash for the tablet, and the man quickly drove away. When the package was finally opened, the Freeman family discovered the elaborately wrapped "iPad" was actually just a mirror about the size of a tablet. Freeman said she felt stupid, but learned a valuable lesson, and offered this advice, "Don't buy nothing on the streets from nobody." An Arlington police spokesperson said that crimes of this kind always increase leading up to Christmas. Last year, incidents similar to this were reported in several states.

I feel bad for her, but at the same time she deserves it.

No one deserves it but when you don't actually check the content of the package it just gives @ssh... like that to keep ripping people off. Hopefully the guy gets caught but I doubt it.

She didnt deserve it but then again if you are that dumb then you kind of deserved it. For example, many people who purchased a green dot card from Wal-mart complained months ago about someone who sent them an e-mail that told them that they won a prize but first put $500 dollars in their green dot card and give them all the information to it. Many people actually fell for it lol Im sorry but they deserved it. Sometimes it takes hard lessons for people to actually learn a lesson.

She deserved it. Cmon cant be that stupid to buy something that cost alot of money for a cheap price without checking it. Biggest red flag was she didnt check it in front of him. Should of said open it up and show me and Ill pay you 200 bucks.

Well too be fair the woman probably thought yeah its a bargain and get it..but for me if it was a stranger offering it i'd just be suspicious..because i'm a paranoid person..and i'd want to check the condition..it's real (not some japanese crap) lol..but i suppose it all comes downs to conmans main illusion 'trust'..
