I'm going to register my reselling business, most likely as an LLC or a sole proprietorship. I'm wondering if I can maintain my privacy. I'd prefer not to have my name all over the Internet connected to this business. Is there anything I can do?

I can think of three possible sources that could sell or leak my info:

- State government where I register
- Paypal / Amazon
- Private mailbox company

I was thinking I could register my LLC under a DBA name rather than my real name, but the more I've read the more I think I didn't correctly understand the DBA concept and that is not a possibility.

If I am correct, with an LLC it is registered with the state and will be public information that is accessible to anyone.
