experience macbook users?

I got a white macbook, whenever I try to reinstall the OS ( new hard drive ) it pops up with a circle with a line through it.

I tried all the stuff suggested by forums but nothing worked so far.

I tried vram reset, checkeck hard drive which I know works as I was able to install windows 7.

I still cant get it to install any mac os. If anyone have any idea would be appreciated

Since you previously had Windows 7 on it...it will need to be reformatted for a Mac OS...I forgot what it's called at the moment...something journaled...You will need to go into the disk utility and reformat before you install the Mac OS
