Default Is ebay your full time job?

How many people here rely on ebay for their main income?

I did have a full time job and ran ebay part time in the evenings, but soon i found myself taking more and more time off work because i had soo many products to ship :D

Eventually it got to a point where i no longer needed a job, i was making tons more money off ebay- so i packed the job in and registered self employed.

Ebay is now my only income and i make far more than my job would ever have brought in!

well im planning on making a income from ebay once i start importing from the US i can;t make it a full time job since im still in high school. i guess my brother can work full time but we need to be earning like $10 000 profit a month for us to do that. well wish you luck with ebay just make sure you have back accounts just in case you ebay accounts go down the drain.

Never put all your eggs in one basket... It's great to make a good income with eBay, but don't let it be the only thing making you money. Start your own website, start working with other auction sites, start something new to make money. Don't let one source of income generate more then 30% of your total income, spread your self out.

Also as Slavaja suggest, create back up eBay accounts.

I have a part time job+attend school. I'm not really listing much nowadays...probably because I don't have any inventory. :(

Right now, eBay is maybe 50% of my income. But then again in the last 2-3 months my eBay sales have really exploded and about matched my previous income, so I'm earning twice as much now. I do lots of other things online though, not just eBay.

Yeah, eBay is like 80% my main source of income (which is not very good as I can't rely on them 100%!). I plan on spreading it out though...back up accounts, my own website...trying to get into affiliate marketing...

I made $450,00 in sales on ebay in 2006, my cut $45,000. Then I was suspended. REALLY hurt. Now trying to gradually build up accounts, but seems with every turn ebay is implementing new things making it harder. I got a merchant account approved for a new account, listed for two weeks successfully, have 5 postive feedback, waiting on feedback from about 7 people. Then received a "wait 30 days before listing" because I am a newly activated account, so a lot of good it did getting a merchant account approved if they just place another road block in front of you.

I'm thinking of changing my inventory to sell , i would like to start afresh . anyone got any ideas what's good to sell , without the risk of suspention of course. ( well nothings really safe these days it seems ) But idealy i would like to stay away from high profile brands.
Appreciate any good ideas. ?

Well it was my main source of income until a couple of weeks ago.

I guess Ebay thinks I needed a vacation...LOL Actually I do! So in the mean time I'm just getting everything ready for the new account. No Rush

eBay isnt my main income because I got knocked off years ago, Im planning of coming back real soon. I been doing 4-5k's per month since a year and 3 months now + work and school. Its mainly my main income as the job is only part time since I have UNI too.

I just got suspended which kinda hurts so I ended up here to rebuild PayPal too, to make sure it runs good with the new account, hopefully everything stays straight.
