| NGALO1983 | 01-22-2013 01:01 AM | If Sushi is what you complain of then its obvious you have not been to different countries. The animals you love as pets is considered a good food in different countries that I have been to but im not gonna say the location in respect for people that live there. What is considered normal for some is different for some because we all was raised different. |
| Sausage | 01-22-2013 03:25 AM | A lot of Thai people here eat things you would get rent-a-kill in to get rid of! |

Wall to wall insects being cooked.
:juggle: |
I was ok with insects in Thailand, the giant ants were pretty good.
The worst food I've had is in Ukraine, the food is totally disgusting, everything is swimming in grease. And the service is probably the worst in the world.
Having said that there is a lot of very good produce, has a lot more taste than in west. |
| Sandy D | 01-22-2013 10:00 AM | Cannot remember even what it was called by during cruise many years ago we stopped in the Bahamas and walked up to an outdoor type bar and grill type place as it was recommended by a cruise employee.
Many of us got off the ship. went right to it, ordered it.
LOL as we looked around a large group of us were served at the same time and like clockwork almost the entire group spit it out on the ground.
Some kind of marinaded fish that looked awesome but the taste about damn near killed half the cruisers.
Not a big fish person anyway but thought what the heck, suggested, locally caught, try it.
Someone yelled "is there a taco bell around".
24-7 buffet cruise and we all fell for this suggestion of total nastiness.
Scarred for life b/c of it. |

Having said that there is a lot of very good produce, has a lot more taste than in west. | Deep fried red ants. they collect them from the trees in a bag, throw them in flour and whack em in a pan of boiling oil!
They taste like the little crunchy bits at the botton of a packet of roast chicken crisps!
We had a tree prone to red ants in the garden, they hurt like hell when they bite you -actually ended up having the tree cut down after one of the cats ran up the tree and knocked a nest. She was covered in them, took me ages to get them out whilst they were biting her eyes andeven got up her bum! Tree was chopped soon after.
Deep fried chicken feet are something I don't think I could tackle though! |
| zoneout | 01-22-2013 08:19 PM | ^^^^^^ I`m starting to think anything deep fried is going to taste good. |

No, he is just a person who travels around and eats anything in sight.
He once ate a beating heart from an animal. Said it was awesome! |

| NGALO1983 | 01-23-2013 01:21 AM | The most odd thing I have ever seen served on a menu at a restaurant overseas was horse...Yes horse...Remember that saying, "Im so hungry I can eat a horse?". Lets just say I stop using that phrase and refuse to ever say it again lol |

supposed to be quite meaty i heard
yumm |
Eating horse is actually pretty common in many places. They sell it in packets here like beef jerky.
There was something in the news recently in the UK, where they tested supermarket "beefburgers" and were actually found to contain a large percentage of horse meat. |
