The U.S. Postal Service plans to announce Wednesday that it will end Saturday mail delivery, in one of the most significant steps taken to date to cut costs at the struggling agency.

Packages still being delivered on saturdays. Just no regular letter mail.

it says packages will still be delivered 6 days a week. this is for regular mail and even with that they are saying Congress has to approve it and they have wanted to keep the delivery for all mail to 6 days. just another scare article

I dont even think that Congress will approve this change. They also really need to adjust their medical and pension deals with their unions.

I hope the lazy Congress does approve it, to give USPS more time to adjust things around.

fair play an attempt to cut back good move

but surely many more folks are at home on a sat to accept a delivery... the amount of delivery attempt slips we get in a week is plain crazy

on a sat morn im always here

id rather they take weds off LOL
