Definitely the GS3 but if you can hold off a little longer the GS4 is supposed to be coming early quarter 2, 2013. When it comes to freedom of use and free apps, android is the way to go.
Neither. We have the Note 2 and it is untouchable in the market right now, especially with the quad core processor opposed to the S3's dual core. Honestly, I would just wait for the S4 if you HAD to get an "S" series since it will have the Exynos Octa processor....but I have my eyes set on the Note 3 when it comes out which will boast the 6.3 inch screen. LOL...as if the Note 2 isn't gigantic enough as it is.

the note 2 is not very practical for most, it is a small tablet. i think it is crazy to think that a quad core vs dual core processor on a cell phone makes that much of a difference for the average or even above average user
You are right - it is too big for most people...and the average user will not gain a whole lot from the quad vs dual processor. But I have mine rooted and do a lot more with it than use it as "just a phone". It is a really powerful tool and I can't wait to see the other phones that come out this year.
I am with Verizon and if I wanted contract price I would have to switch to their new rubbish share everything plan. I have an old unlimited data plan and I said no dice. Paid full retail (well $650) on each phone. A $400 discount isn't worth something that will end up costing me more out of pocket every month.
I switched to cricket a few years ago from Verizon
I pay $55 a month for unlimited internet,text,call.Also unlimited calls to Canada and Mexico Also they came out with 4g a while ago so if you have cricket in your area try it,will save you a lot of $$$$$$$$$$

For me its the Nexus 4 all the way.
The specs are better than the SG3 and the price is unbeatable. Seriously. You cannot compete with the price when considering the specs you get with this phone.
Do some research and youll see that some benchmarks have surfaced for the new SG4 and in some areas the Nexus 4 beats even that unreleased phone.
And best of all youll be getting all the Android updates first as it is a direct release by google.

I was about to get the nexus 4 until I saw the back is made of glass. Can't understand that one. Tons of people saying how when it is put on a cold surface it can crack
