The Martin case was a no brainer self defense case and the poor baseball player got killed/murdered by typical thug poorly raised punks and no story has been spun like the Martin story was at all.
Hoping to see the 3 of them get life as we need to clear our streets of animals like these three.

Lad was in the prime of his life.
Doing what he always dreamed of doing.
30 seconds of total madness.
Horrendous. |

Sad story of gang initiation indeed.
Jays season is pretty much done, as a side note

Miguel Cabrera is in Beast Mode. Forget Marshawn Lynch. Guy is putting up crazy numbers. Hitting nearly .360 40+ Home Runs and 130 RBI's with a month left in the season. This guy if he stays healthy/keeps up good production could be high on lots of the Career high lists. He is on pace to have an even better year than the last when he won the Triple Crown.
I mean everyone is suspect for PEDs. But it looks like Miggy finally quit drinking and they got Feilder to protect him and now he is hands down the best Offensive Player in baseball. Unless he tanks this last month he is a lock for the AL MVP.

His batting reminds me of Jeff Bagwell, snap wrist and power along with hitting outside pitches with ease. Bagwell is no Carbrera but he also could hit.
All he needed is someone to protect him.

Bad timing to need to be rested.
Abdominal strains are tricky to treat AND to recover from after getting the injury.
Good Luck to him. |

Twins just gave the Pirates an awesome hitter for next to nothing.
So the Twins have given up completely for their future?
And the Pirates are making some bold moves.
This franchise has suffered for years.
They have the worse stadium and darn ugly uniforms but at least they are doing something.
Remind me of some of those Marlin teams over the past 10 years.

Remind me of some of those Marlin teams over the past 10 years. | He is a Free Agent for the 2014 season. Since this not his Rookie Contract with arbitration years, etc. If they held onto him and he signed elsewhere I do not believe they would be given compensation pick(s). Must have been the best offer the Twins where given. Since he is an Unrestricted Free Agent there is no saying he couldn't be back in Minnesota next year. If that is where he really wants to be.
Anyways, I hope the Pirates do well. My team is out of it. Would like to see a team that has been down in the dumps the past 25 years make a run.
Lol, I haven't been to PNC Park but it looks awesome. Not AT&T Park. But by far and by far the worst Stadium in baseball is the Oakland Coliseum. It is about to fall apart and you are lucky if you don't get murdered in the parking lot or shot in a drive by leaving the game. Tropicana or Toronto are probably the second and third worse now in baseball. Especially once Wrigley which is falling apart gets its much needed renovations.

First time in like 25 years. Crazy. Bonds, Bonilla and Van Slyke. The lasting memory of Barry Bonds unable to throw the Braves player out at the plate. Somehow people still say he was a crummy outfielder to this day because someone gave up a hit and he couldn't throw him out. Like he was at fault for giving up the hit. Even with the 7 or 8 Gold Gloves.
Anyways glad to see the Pirates finally have a good season. Not sure if they will win the Division but the D'Backs are far enough back you would hope they at least get in the one game playoff.
