Laptop Issue
 

Considering most people active on this forum are probably on their computer more often than average and would perhaps know a thing or two.

Ok tonight i accidentally spilled a little water on my laptop and i thought it was fine but now i have no sound at all...not even a little buzz. However when something is played that little green bar moves showing it recognizes sound. Do you think i really messed something up? I was planning on getting a new laptop in 2 weeks anyways but i havent installed my cable yet, therefore i cant watch my shows on youtube and i cant use skype :eek:

Seems like you shorted something out.. I've done that a couple times before and it never ended well. :(

Laptops do not like water. They like tea or coffee even less.:(
It is very expensive to get them repaired as well after these types of treatment.:p

check your home insurance policy this is covered on my policy..if you have laptop covered under this

yeah i know its not worth repairing for sure. I just bought a new one. Thanks for the replys!

You know what? I had a Laptop I bought from a friend, it was a very nice Laptop, and I paid a lot of it. The laptop didn't last long though… and here's why. First the keyboard went out because I accidentally spilled coke on it. So here I am connecting my desktop keyboard to it to make things work. Then guess what? My monitor went out…

What a POS… now I had to connect my desktop monitor to it as well...

Here I am with an awesome laptop (at the time), with a huge monitor connected to it and some old keyboard… weak…

I finally gave it away to a 'friend' that needed a laptop at the time. He didn't mind so much, but he said he got a lot of people asking questions about his setup. He still has it to this day, he's college student. :)
