$150 Movie Tickets...
 

I just saw World War Z. It was not terrible, in fact it was one of the better zombie movies, although that is not saying much.

Last week it was reported that George Lucas and Steven Speilberg are predicting that in the future it will cost $100 or $150 to go to a theater to see a movie.

So, my question is, what movie is worth paying $150 for a ticket? I can't think of any....

that would be another reason to download them lol

Absolutely no way I would pay that much money for a movie ticket.
That price would probably spur growth for counterfeit tickets.

I think Resident Evil tops the Zombie niche of movies.

I've always been a George Romero fan, myself. But I also love the Resident Evil movies and the 28 days movies as well. I could even like the "Return of the Living Dead" movies that were more like comedies. But, let's face it, a lot of zombie movies suck. Here are a few terrible ones:

• Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies
• Zombies vs Strippers
• Fido
• Detention of the Zombies
• Rise of the Zombies
• and countless others

No doubt, loved Resident Evil but 28 Days Later has a more "realistic" approach to a Zombie Apocalypse.

A movie ticket price (like almost any other luxury dependent on the market)
Will only go up as much as the people are willing to pay for it. If 90% of others are downloading them movie...then the studios need to re-evaluate their prices :heh:

I liked the action in the RE movies but the storyline....:deadhorse:

I loved 28 days and 28 weeks later though.

Up here Cineplex is looking to charge more for movie attendance soon...justification: allow the buyer special access to a downloadable copy when the movie comes out on DVD or Blu-Ray. To me, a lot of movies arent types that I can watch again and again...

You are so right! I buy some blu-rays, but I am very selective. Most movies are not worth watching more than once, and some are not even worth watching PERIOD!

Can you imagine paying $150 to see John Carter?

I have been in homes to see people who have a movie collection wall to wall.

I see that as either stupid or those people are couch potato types who lay around and watch movies all of the time.

I like my movie but one particular person watches 1-2 movies a night before going to bed.

Now that is one boring way to waste your life watching 4 hours of movies almost every night.

They should pay us $150 to go watch that...I saw it in the theatres (sadly I got duped)...such a bad use of movie time. Battlefield Earth v2.0....ugh

Downloadable Movies & Shows + 2TB WD HDD + WD LIVE TV = Happiness!!!!

2TB seems like a lot, but it fills up quickly. I bought a 2TB internal drive and had to add on a 3TB external drive within 6 months.

Dammit, I actually liked battlefield earth.

And 2 TBs is nothing for me. I have several 3TB hard drives full of movies, shows.

Only movies I see more than once are classic war movies, Tora, Tora, Tora, Midway, In harms way, dasboot, The Bomber (thanks greenbean for the recommend on that one), and many others.

$150? I can barely fathom paying $18 for a half asssd 3D movie, although dispicable me was pretty good...
