I purchased the 10.2" Galaxy Tab 2 for my wife and she loves it. It's super fast, great graphics, and I believe I got it for $200. The one i got was a floor model but it worked flawlessly.

Pretty much anything upwards of £100 and the difference are only marginal for what she would want to use it for.

Apple is much more user friendly. there isnt a lot to distract the person. but damn the price is jut too high but if you can get a cheap on its well worth it.

Just bought the Samsung Galaxy tablet and so far it is amazing to use.
For me I will use it more for checking prices etc and wont use it to list anything but I think this is going to be extremely useful for what I need it for.

You might think of getting her a 1st Gen iPad. Can get them used in great shape at a steal and it'll have everything she wants to do. I personally have a galaxy tab 2 but I don't think its necessary to go so 'high end'

The ipad is nice user friendly tablet but she probably doesn't need the newest one with retina and 64gb or whatever the top memory is , the lower memory and last generation would be great for her.
I got a couple on Craig's list wifi + cellular for $200 each almost brand new there are lot of people that just need money right away and may have got them as gifts and happy to part with them for a couple hundred

iTunes had far more apps I think it's like 50,000 more than the android market but they are catching up these numbers are just from an employee at best buy who I had asked about this few weeks ago so not sure how accurate but I do know apple is ahead in the amount off apps and both android and apple do share certain apps.
Some of the cheaper androids do have access to google play apps so it is an open platform I actually just purchase d a phablet 6 inch screen dual SIM card phone and tablet which has access to the google play market, works great really cool device for $200 and I got this from a market in the states I seem it for $175 if u order from china
