LOL.. Not a Repair person,,BUT--Ive had many repair calls .. What I did was first Google the Mfgr site--i.e. Sub Zero/Artic Air/Kenmore
Then I got my serial number from the sticker inside the SubZ,
Then I called the Mfgr- they verified if it was indeed under warranty-
They themselves , called and set up a Repair call for me..the man came a day later..
NOW:
If NO warranty--theres a Fix it yourself-help site-if u google the problem.. they give u general repair tips--
I had a dryer that wouldnt heat + the company i bought it from went under, so the general consensus was a new module for heat--i bought it at Appliance Repair Store dot com, they shipped fedex, i pulled the drawer out-unplugged the old, and placed the new module in!!!
>> I didnt think I could do it--but i was afraid to tell my hubby another appliance was broken.. turns out-it burnt out-cause the kids kept stepping and squashing the dryer vent that goes outside-thus the heat couldnt escape-burnt out the module..
Good Luck :) |
