Elite delivery methods - welcome to the 21st century!

I was talking to a guy the other day who actually has a deskjob with FedEx and was considering one point of going back to delivery - perks and benefits were huge he was saying

These fedex and UPS people really were held to a higher standard at one point. I know it's probably a tough job, but the pay and benefits are unreal for what the job is. I had a sales manager leave my company a few years ago to go be a delivery truck driver.... it's that good of a job.

UPS is unionized they seem to be pretty good up until X-Mas season here in the states then who knows. The got minimum wage kids running everything to the door and just leaving it etc. They just aren't trained or experienced enough. I did it for on X-Mas myself when I was in my teens.

FedEx Ground at least they are independent contractors. The lose money when customers bitch and complain and what not.

Any way you put it. At least in the US people don't take as much pride in their work as the use to.

However, if there was a YELP for you package handler or something like that. Might change the game. Who knows.

As eBay and Amazon sellers we all know how important public feedback is.

There are street video's on you tube of certain UK couriers throwing xbox's, PC Screens etc.. over the fence in peoples yards.. this is why i am very careful whom i use now days ..its a nightmare!
