BIOS error after flashing - can I fix it?

I tried to flash the BIOS on a fujitsu ah531 laptop but I messed up.

I think I flashed it with the wrong BIOS and also in the instructions, it said to disable Bitlocker - I use truecrypt and did not disable truecrypt.

So, when I went to flash the bios through windows, it said the pc will now restart.

When it tried to restart, nothing happened.

Everytime I power on the laptop, I get a blank screen, no harddrive light or activity, only the power light.

I have tried pressing f3 / f12 / esc / del etc. on bootup but nothing happened - blank screen.
I have tried to disconnect the main battery for 5 minutes then reconnect, but did not fix.
I have tried to insert a bootable windows 8 installation disk in the cd drive but all that happens is the cd drive makes the spinning noise for 5 seconds then that is it, blank screen.

I am a bit gutted as it is a handy little laptop and helped my do more work in the day as I found using 2 laptops increased how much work I could do in a day.

Do you think if I remove the harddrive it may work?
Or if I remove the internal CMOS battery for a few minutes and put back - will this work?

I don't want to start taking it apart for no reason and maybe break something else so any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Remove the main battery and the internal button battery. Leave them out for a few hours and press the power button a few times to make sure the laptop is completely drained of power.

Some Laptops have those batteries well hidden, but It should work.

Thanks for all the advice.

Nothing worked

I left the CMOS battery out overnight with the main battery removed also.
I also removed the harddrive.

I just now put back in the CMOS battery and left the harddrive out and powered up - nothing, same problem.

I then put in the harddrive and tried to boot up - same error.

I have powered on and off a few times and also have left on for 20 minutes then turned off and on - not fixed, same error.

I wish I did not even bother to try to update my BIOS in the first place, nothing was wrong with it anyway. I was a bit bored so thought I would mess around and look what happened.
They say 'if it aint broke, don't fix it' - its true!

Yup, very true. I remember destroying a few motherboards with the cmos upgrades, thank god they were Desktop Motherboards, would just buy another and return the broken one!

Then you might deleted or corrupted BIOS software, if you can reinstall it that is fine if not go to any computer shop they will do it for you
to install it yourself it is easy, you only need flash drive and your laptop BIOS software that can be downloaded from the internet and reinstall it

Re: BIOS error after flashing - can I fix it?

I downloaded the BIOS files from laptop vendor.

There are 2 files: DosFlash.bat and FH5_130.exe

My laptop does not support booting from flash drive so I burnt the 2 files direct to a cd and tried it in my laptop - nothing happened.

I cant even get to the bios setup or anything.
The dvd drive does make a 5 second spinning sound then that's it.

I also made another cd and put an extra file in there called autoexec.bat which contained the same details as the dosflash.bat file which tells the laptop to execute the FH5_130.exe files which I presume is the dos flash file - nothing happened.

I know why the policy is there but this is what it looks like when someone aimlessly bumps old threads to get to 25 posts.

Something needs to be done about this pathetic behaviour, half of this forums posts now are either 'count bumpers' or scam links.
