Selling in Craigslist.org?

Hi Everybody:
i just want to know how is the market in Craigslist doing?
in some categories now, you have to verify your phone number like Ebay to post a listing.
can we offer PayPal or Google Checkout in the listing?
thank you.

What is the best craigslist listing tool

I have been posting items for sale on Craigslist for about 4 years. I've always done well on there and usually, if not right away, get all my items sold on there.

I've NEVER been ask for any verification, including a phone number. What category ask you for a phone number?

I tried to sell a laptop on CL and they asked me to phone verify. This was on tuesday.

Wow, my daughters boyfriend just sold 2 laptops with no problems and they didn't ask for anything. He listed both of them just like you would a pair of pants or something.

too many scammers on craigslist.

I am New to Craiglist and I have just completed my first Sale with No Listing Fees, No Final Value Fees, No Picture Fees, No Shipping Fees, and No Paypal Fees.

Yes there are Scammers on Craiglist just as Ebay have their share of them as well.

I suggest that you Only deal with LOCAL People and get paid in CASH if you have physical items and you can meet in a public place.

There is more to Craiglist and everyone should try it out or just take a look at it. You might just find a good deal there. If I knew about Craiglist a little bit earlier then maybe I could of saved myself some money that other local people was offering.

Boomer not always is craigslist fun and easy. If you have a popular item mostly electronics then your item will sell fast. I've completed more than 250 sales on craigslist and yes it's free and all but there is a risk involved. The risk of getting robbed of your belongings. You'll at times get a higher price than eBay but eBay is by far easier.

If you want to use craigslist at a constant basis always meet at a public place like infront of a busy mall.

Don't people just send checks on craigslist to you and then you ship the item or what? How do most do it?

John14789 10-03-2008 12:15 AM

Craigslist was made for local CASH transactions. On craigslist buyers come to do local and cash transaction. If you don't do craigslist local and don't accept cash you'll never make a sale. Also if you dont put your phone number in the ad then it'll also be very difficult to complete a transaction.
