I think the difference between this site and Facebook type sites. Is this is an actual community of people who care about similar things.

Have met so many great members on here.

Facebook I did for like a year. It is a bunch of people grabbing for attention and posting stupid updates and pictures of their food. Like anyone really cares. Best thing I ever did was shut that thing down.

Chatted about all kinds of eBay/PP related topics with people on this board. Also just general things sports and other random topics come up. Its awesome.

I am sorry but if you spend all day reading people's post on Facebook your a loser. You should walk outside and say hello to someone. You are going to die you aren't going to vaporize into thin air.

As much as I love selling on eBay and running my business. It is scary how connected people must be this day an age. I see people who if they forget their cell phone at home and can't get that txt message or Facebook update act like they are going to die. A family of four going out to dinner all four and staring at their darn Cell Phone. Crazy.

RSOT you are one of the great people I have interacted with on this site. Facebook is for people who never left high school or in some sense want to try to be cool, or have some kinda pissing contest. Any way you slice it. At-least for someone under 30 like myself. It is quite stupid.

I am few months under 50 and Facebook is really something I keep my distance from. Never liked it and quite silly.

I used other forums in the past. I still have friends in there and I mean real friend.
People who was living something like 700km from where I live and we managed to meet and spend some time with our families.

This forum is one of the friendly place ever and with a lot o nice people around.

Most of you are far away but who knows one day, we could meet.

Ebay and money-making is not one of my major tasks, I have another job and I really do it for the fun of it and to learn something new but the mein reason I still am on this forum is for you guys.

Nothing wrong with facebook, or txt messages, social media etc... but many people today and what seems like the majority of young adults and children hardly know how to interact face to face.
By-The-Way, I make money from facebook :)

Facebook is made for the masses. It involves something that I really don't fancy - gossiping.

There are better online social places out there with meaningful purposes, like this forum.
