aspkin | 09-30-2008 10:13 PM | I need to edit some templates, but other then that everything looks good. Any issues, let me though. |
aspkin | 09-30-2008 11:14 PM | It's a new feature, get used to it. |
BooMer | 10-01-2008 12:06 AM | Where is the Craiglist section? |

aspkin | 10-01-2008 04:25 AM | Part one of update complete...
Part two, new forums will be done later... I'm beat.. |
imjustme | 10-01-2008 10:34 AM | Looks all fine from here... |
Quasi_Mojo | 10-01-2008 01:04 PM | Before the update, the forum (or Firefox) was having trouble remember the threads that I had not read. I would open the forum in one tab, and then do my browsing in a second tab (using the breadcrumb trail). The first tab was to remind me which of the threads I had not read, yet.
Now, it seems as if the unread threads are being remembered. I hope this makes sense. |
aspkin | 10-01-2008 03:50 PM | That's good, hopefully it fixed that and other things wrong with the forum. Good good! |
Quasi_Mojo | 10-05-2008 01:56 AM | I was wrong, aspkin.
My unread threads are not being remembered. I still have to check each section for dates and times of threads posted to figure out which ones have not been read.
Is there any chance of switching the forum to IP.Board? |
aspkin | 10-05-2008 04:20 AM | Hmm, try again I think I solved it. |
mantisinc | 10-05-2008 05:11 AM | VB is way nicer than IP - changing would be a terrible idea.
All of a sudden I have hundreds of unread posts, from as far back as Septermber.. |
GreenBean | 10-05-2008 05:12 AM | Just told aspkin B4. 'Fiddling' again  |
Quasi_Mojo | 10-05-2008 05:57 AM | I'm seeing the same as mantisinc reported.
At least IP.Board remembers what posts I have not read.
Okay... I have marked all forums as read. I'll let you know later, if it's still happening. |
aspkin | 10-05-2008 07:14 AM | Yeah, just mark all forums as read and the new threads should work out. I changed how threads are stored. Before everything was stored in a session based cookie, now everything is in the database.
Quick Links >> Mark Forums Read |
mantisinc | 10-05-2008 09:30 AM | I always had problems with my forums with session storage. |
Quasi_Mojo | 10-05-2008 10:21 PM | aspkin, I think that may have fixed the issue. Thanks for taking the time - it was really driving me nuts. |
aspkin | 10-07-2008 03:15 PM | Geez... I can see I won't be able to catch up with 'new post' anytime soon.
Time to pick and choose my battles. :) |
GreenBean | 10-08-2008 05:11 PM | Having the same battle. Supposed new posts are posts I have read. Now
have to read the date/time as well. Too much, need coffee |
aspkin | 10-08-2008 06:07 PM | THey're new post, it's not messed up. Every new post to a thread and it'll show as a 'new post'. This is how it's supposed to be. :p |
GreenBean | 10-08-2008 06:19 PM | So the 'new way' is that even if I read a new post it will stay like that until the next new post?;)
Gracious, I think I understand that. Don't like it though. |
aspkin | 10-09-2008 08:14 AM | No, it shouldn't be that way. It should only show you new post to a thread. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:48 PM. | |
