site remembers my login
 

this is nothng to do with ebay and paypal

different site, a forum, not this one.

ccleaner used to clean screen plus I have not logged in for months!!!!
I just was browsing it and notices my user name AND passowrd asterisks were pre-filled. How and how to erase?? its is some super cookie??.

theres usually a remember me button or something that is checked next to your username. try signing out and see if its there and uncheck it

Look to the (R) of the log in. If the box is ticked, that is why the info is retained.

Uncheck the box. Log out of that forum. On next sign in, should be gone.

When did you last clear cache & cookies? Interesting that a forum 'held' your info for longer than a month.

Odd my answer got removed...in your browser, your might have autofill fields selected so your browser keeps track of the info not necessarily the site...

a cleaner that has all boxes checked, should remove autofill..inc the remember me check box.

certain browser apps can hold on to info eg. password generators etc

other than that a mystery.....personally I would remove browser and re-install...

Maybe your browser is remembering your passwords. Chrome & Firefox do this, it has nothing to do with cookies, it's browser based.

That's based on cookies. That shouldn't be the issue.

took ur advises and sorted it now. it was the browser issue.
