I know Brazil lost their best player and their 2nd best. But at home in the World Cup. That will be hard to overcome, even with the losses by Germany. As far as the other round goes. Messi is probably the be player in the world. However, the Dutch seem to be the team of destiny. Brazil vs. Netherlands. 39 years of not losing on home soil for Brazil even one year when Pele went down. I just don't see it happening.

For me I see it as betting on the house. Like betting on the Yankess for many years in the 90's. Even given the setbacks.

Germany knows how it feels.
Home field advantage is huge but not everything.
We had to learn the hard way in 2006.
But anyway, let's hpe for a great game tomorrow, it will be tough though :amen:

This was indeed the worst spanking in the tournament; was not expected. Germany barely drew with Ghana, edged USA and Algeria put up a good fight.

Well, the objective is to bounce the ball from the net. The samba boys will never forget this defeat.

I wouldn't be surprised if the finally comes down to a shoot out. Germany definitely has the upper hand due to not having played in OT games and them scoring so much in Regulation.

Well it was much closer than I had anticipated. Being a huge NFL fan I still can not get over how wussy soccer players are. They run into someone and act like Patrick Willis or Troy Polamalu hit them.

Being someone who never passes up a betting opportunity. I expected Germany to be about 3-1 as others said. Messi will be the goat. That unfortunately is what happens in sports of superstars like Soccer and Basketball. They expect you to deliver on demand. Same thing with NFL at QB position to an extent.
