Let's see what McCain is saying he will do:

- He says he can balance the budget by the end of his first term.

- He says he will cut taxes.

- He openly threatens to bomb Iran and North Korea.

- He recommends that Russia be kicked out of the G8.

Those are facts, not my opinion. You can look them up, they're all available as video statements by McCain. Apart from threatening to bomb 2 nations that have nuclear weapons and kicking Russia out of the G8, tell me this.

How can McCain balance the budget if the US is 1 trillion ($1,000,000,000,000 or one thousand billions) in debt, while claiming to cut taxes? Where will that trillion dollars come from? Answer me this. Convince me.

I never understood why there was so much bickering amongst the Republicans and Democrats. Instead of out doing each other and talking crap about each other, they should work together in the betterment of the nation, not of their own party. Thats why I'm an independent.

Joe the plumber ripped obama a new one. He raised excellent points, and then obamas team attacked him as well as the president of nbc or abc or some news company I forget. I don't really want a president who attacks its citizens for stating their opinions.

I would say I was neither republican or democrat, I just tend to have the majority of views as republicans. I would vote for a dem in a heartbeat. Obama is not one of them. All he has going for himself is the fact he is charismatic.. I don't know why people are accepting his economic plan... I think he plans on taxing businesses up to 45%!?!!!!! WOW. Then hes going to give money to the dirt bag lazy asses who don't want to get off their fat asses. i.e. the guy standing at the corner at the freeway entrance. I'm really suprised obama is democrat, he is more socialist than a socialist is...

Some facts about "Joe the Plumber":

- His real name is "Sam", not "Joe". Not even close. Why lie about his name?

- He's not a plumber. He doesn't even hold a license. It's illegal in his state to work as a plumber without a license.

- If his last income tax statements are true, he would qualify for lower taxes under Obama.

- He's a registered Republican.

- He owes several thousand dollars in unpaid medical bills, though he's registered to work against a candidate that would offer him better healthcare.

So he's not really "Joe the Plumber", but "Sam the Illegal Republican Plumber".

Joe the "Plumber" simply walked up to Obama and tried to trip him up to get a sound bite. Much the same way that the guy who asked Palin a question at that Philly cheese steak place did to her. The "spread the wealth" comment was taken out of context (like most of McCain's Obama quotes) and was simply a gaff - like Palin's. The sound bite was produced, the media ran with it and the Republican party and their pundits adopted Joe (his middle name is Joseph, by the way - I also prefer my middle name and use it instead of my first name) without vetting him. The Republican party should have investigated Joe, themselves, before adopting him. Karl Rove would have done it that way. Joe was never an undecided voter, as he was a registered Republican. He presented Obama with his "dream" of earning $250,000 - $280,000 a year and that was never going to happen.

Obama's team never attacked him. It was supporters of Obama, who were not sponsored by Obama, who investigated and revealed the truth about this "plumber".

The real person who is at fault for Joe's predicament is McCain. McCain adopted him without vetting him. McCain chose to put him in the spotlight - and continued to do so after he requested that he be left alone. Doing that led to the investigations that cost Joe his job (as he revealed on Fox). He was asked by McCain to join him when he went stumping through Ohio, but he refused. Instead, he appeared on Fox. My guess is he did it for the money since he can no longer work as a plumber.

BTW: I especially liked the conspiracy that tied Joe to Keating and Palin.

Hi- this is my first post. This is a hot issue, and the first thing that has compelled me to post. For those who think that a national health care plan is going to cost more than now, do you actually think things are better for the middle class now? Right now, the rich enjoy the tax benefits and the luxury of better health care. But do you think that no one pays for the uninsured? Who do you think pays for emergency room visits that poor people resort to, or medicaid? It is the middle class, who have not gotten the same tax benefits as the wealthy. Do you think that taxpayers as a whole, not just the middle class, footing the bill for nationwide insurance is going to cost more than what we have to pay for now? The main difference, is that now those making a ton of money are going to have to start paying their fair share, and I am sure the rich and greedy are hating that. Everyone I know who is voting for McCain is someone who makes a lot of money, and knows that voting for a fellow greedy republican is going to keep more money in their pocket. Now, I realize I don't know anyone here personally, and can't assume that McCain supporters here are like that, but I think it is time we started thinking about what is best for us as a NATION, not what is best for the percentage that are already better off. I hope I did not sound too hostile in my first post, this is a very important issue for me, as I know it is for a lot of you here. Good luck to everyone with their ebay accounts.

What does it have to do with greed? We work hard for our money. Not to give it away to some random person looking for a handout. The government has really no business doing this in my opinion.
