eBay is so stupid that...
 
They let a buyer buy from me without an address. I emailed the dude 3 times no replies after 4 days I said screw it I'll just refund the dude.

Now 6 weeks later I get a defect rate of .50% because I canceled it. I go on ebay get this persons personal information. And what do you know? No address, no working phone number 123 456 7890 :O *sales dropped for 6 weeks 0 sales cause of this BUG and him not having an address I should of just kept the money, and wait for him to come complain. Stupid people they never check their emails* WOW Imagine if we could all sell on walmart's website auction style! Just think of the dumb customers. :smash: breathe in... breathe out... (repeat 500 times)

So On the phone with ebay's best who can't even understand english! So I asked them to remove this defect rate because I let them know that they let people buy from you without an ADDRESS! I mean how smart is ebay logic? Ebay if you are reading this please please hire someone with brains out there and working people who understand English. I hate to explain myself 3 times on the phone I mean where do you get these guys? I speak perfect english and 2 other languages read and write. Can I be VP of the company? Plus I'm very funny!

Can I get an Amen? Hallelujah!

So still on the phone with the idiot as I am typing this and the guy is like "let me check to see why there is a defect rate." I yell at the guy and say well if you click it says "Canceled Transactions I mean what more do you need? S&T fwd me to you to get it removed simple as that what else is there?" OMG 3rd person me no speak english! What kind of a english test do they do for these guys? Show the color red and point to the word???

This guy now says "this could be a bug" REALLY BUDDY? *46 minutes on the fricken phone with idiot after idiot after idiot* I use skype all the time. Never a problem guys. Anyways I just got off the phone with idiot #3! Who says it's a bug. I said buddy if you cancel a transaction without shipping it or refund the buyer as it says on the dashboard go look! I mean WTF! So anyways within 24 hours they'll remove it. I call BS!

I forgot to ask him what 3rd world country he was from.

Gawd, more tosh from you, rsot.


dont care who the seller is but they are at fault for even allowing a purchase without everything being in order.

Should be well aware of how anal ebay are when it comes to issues.

GWW, be a bit more careful next time.

With the dropkicks at ebay, Defect rate dramas, you simply need to step up to control your account.

And it's removed thank god! Only took 46 minutes and all of my RAGE!

They got rid of it. :O But man oh man what a BS to deal with I tell you.

I had another account postage got stuck at USPS some place, they opened up a case gave a defect of .40%. This is an account that brings me $300 to $500 monthly. Anyways after the case was open on the 2nd. I had 0 sales since then! :O

So I called in this week to get it closed they said only once it's delivered. Last night I called in at night hoping to get someone from the Philippines to get it closed. But no luck they just escalade it and within 48 hours it's in my favor since I did provide tracking. Cause this is costing me sales on that account.

Their system is sooooooooo omg I can't even deal with it no more that I wanna go on amazon after I read something about feedback removal on amazon. (on this one website).

Eb is really a pain and broken system.

So many glitches since this August Defect thing came out.. I cant even make second chance offers on my 2 main selling accounts lately.. or when you request the free listings you get 'technical issue' errors the whole time.. sheesh

OMG WOW This totally blows!!! Did you call them up? Do you have a UK number or do you always call up the USA number?

RSOT *I put it in red to get your attention lol* was right I was venting but it also helps others who might have the same problem. Because I did google it and found a few others stuck with what I had. But for the next time if anyone runs into this problem it's up to them to figure out from my own exp.

To save a defect rate? I would just hold the package next time! Until they message me about it. I would rather have a non-tracking package defect then a cancellation defect of .50% hurting sales on the account. I mean how do you go about this when the system is broken and they don't even have buyers put in an address yet buy something from you! :smash:

I've had a customer saying she went away on vacation for 3 weeks and if I could send it when she gets back on a date. I sent it a few days before so it got there as she got there.

And GB I messaged the buyer at least 3 times and waited days on end. What kind of a person buys something without inserting an address? :O

@Bunneh, I had this issue on my IE browser - then I switched to Firefox and am able to send out 2nd chance offers

So sold item it got stuck in transit. ebay rep tells me to escalade the case and I'd win because tracking right? I get an email buyer won cause my tracking:

"We received insufficient tracking info from you. You must provide tracking info in the Resolution Center before a case gets escalated. Note that tracking info includes the shipping carrier and an item tracking number that can be tracked online. If the item $750.00 or more, shipping with signature confirmation is required."

So I get it from ebay it self and this is what I get?

So I called and 1 rep said it's my fault because the package was not delivered. It shows SCANNED at post office and left on their semi trucks to the other state then stopped tracking! So this is my fault. Defect rate + money pulled out of my account. The rep on the phone said no way I'd win.

Because after 7 days of no movement it's my fault! And I hired the carrier. Really tracking, it got lost or stuck and my fault? WOW

I would contact ebay before even shipping anything. This way they can cancel the transaction right away and deal with the buyer on their own :ranger: no defect issues.
